Champagne Cocktails

With just days until Christmas, and after a really tough year, why save your Champagne for toasting the back of 2020?! Start early with some delicious Champagne Christmas Cocktails! 

No Cocktail Shaker Required:

Buck’s Fizz

120ml (4 fl oz) Orange Juice

Champagne to top up

Fill a tumbler or tall glass with crushed ice and add enough Orange juice to make up about a quarter of the tumbler. Top up with Champagne. Quite possibly the quickest cocktail ever!

Basic Champagne Cocktail

1 sugar cube

Angostura Bitters

Twist of Lemon Peel

Champagne

Pop the sugar cube in a glass and soak it in Angostura Bitters. Add a cube of ice, the twist of lemon peel and top up with Champagne.

Americana

1 measure of Bourbon whiskey

½ teaspoon of caster sugar

1 dash of Angostura Bitters

Champagne to top up

Add all the ingredients to a wide cocktail glass, except the champagne and stir until the sugar has dissolved. Top up with Champagne.

 

Blender Required Cocktails:

California Dreaming

2 dashes of Kirsch

3 measures of pineapple juice

1 dash of lemon juice

Champagne to top up

Add all ingredients, except the Champagne, to a blender along with 2-3 ice cubes. Blend for about 30 seconds. Pour into a wine glass and top up with Champagne. Decorate the edge of the glass with a slice of pineapple

Honeydew

1 measure of gin

½ measure of lemon juice

1 dash of Pernod

50g (2oz) of Honeydew Melon, diced

Champagne to top up

Add all ingredients, except the Champagne, to a blender along with 2-3 ice cubes. Blend for 30 seconds. Pour in to a wine glass and top up with Champagne. Decorate with two melon balls on a cocktail stick.

 

Cocktail Shaker Required:

New Orleans Dandy

1 measure of light rum

½ measure of peach brandy

1 dash of orange juice

1 dash of lime juice

Champagne to top up

Add all the ingredients, but not the Champagne, to a cocktail shaker and add some ice. Shake well and strain in to a large wine glass. Top up with Champagne and decorate with a slim orange slice and cocktail cherry.
